First time at mammoth and I hear it mandatory to stop by at mahogany smoked meats for their sandwiches and beef jerky. I got their sweet and spicy jerky .5lbs for about $30. This is actually the best jerky I had so much flavor and so good. I also got the rodeo for about $15 and it was super filling. It came with a pickle which I love and half a sandwich could fill me up for half a day. The cashiers were super nice, lots of room for dining and all the shelves were all clean and organized!

After a long day of skiing at Mammoth Mountain, I stopped by Mahogany Smoked Meats and ordered their highly recommended Handyman sandwich. The Handyman sandwich was a true delight. The tender, succulent, and smoky beef was paired with the sweet and tangy barbecue sauce. The bread was soft and fresh, and the sandwich was generously stuffed with meat, making it a substantial meal that left me feeling satisfied. In terms of service, the staff was friendly and efficient, and the ordering process was seamless. The only downside was the limited seating arrangements. However, for those who want to grab a quick bite on their way back home from Mammoth, Mahogany Smoked Meats is the perfect place.

Super lax, chill rest spot for a quick bite to eat on the way to mammoth. They have a deli side and a beef jerky, other jarred goods side. We got the breakfast burrito and the pastrami sandwich. My bf said the sausage in the burrito had some weird chewy hard bits in it and had to spit out... but my sandwich was good!! Tasty and came with potato salad and pickle spear. I'm typing this as we're coming back to get another sandwich for the ride back. .... Okay just finished our lunch again and so good! My bf was so happy he got a redemption sandwich from here. We got the roast beef and handyman. Both so yummy!! We also got some beef jerky to gift my parents and they were so helpful letting me sample a few different kinds. We got the sweet and spicy beef jerky.

Great place for sandwich alternative to Bakery. Service is slow and be prepared to wait to order and pick up food. So relax and enjoy some jerky. Typical smoked house filled with smoked smell and visible see through smoke chber.

The sandwiches are huge from the "Favorite's"! I ordered "The Stroke" which had pastrami and corned beef. It was loaded! They toast the buns and add mayo and mustard. The service was fast, it took a few minutes for the sandwiches to come out, but it's well worth it. It's a red shop in Bishop across from Wave Rave. It's clean inside with a few tables to dine in! I recommend trying the sweet and spicy brisket beef jerky!

Came here for the breakfast burritos, they give you a check list of things you want to add to the burrito. I got it with breakfast sausage with a multitude of other veggies. The burrito was packed with all the ingredients, so each bite had a multitude of flavors in it. I think for $13 per burrito, it is a little bit on the pricier end, but worth a try. There is ample seating inside and service is pretty fast (maybe 5-10 min wait time total for a burrito).

Honestly this is my preferred sandwich spot in the Bishop area. Each time I am in Bishop I stop here. There is a much shorter line and the sandwiches are much more substantial and flavorful. Weve had both the handyman and the turkey sandwich. Both are well balanced with meat and sauces. I do wish there was vegetables on it but this is a meat place afterall. They do include a pickle and potato salad with your sandwich and I dont usually like potato salad but theres is not just creamy but flavorful. We have also bought chicken sausage and thick bacon from the store. Both were great camping meats for our Bishop stop. Make sure to stop by if you are in the area!

As of 1/27/23: Landon hooked it up with the samples. Jerky was TOO GOOD. Unique meat selection. 2 oz Mango habanero ~$8. Perf sweet n spice. So good had to visit on the way back. 1oz sweet&spicy Turkey, 1oz habanero buffalo, 2 oz chipotle beef, 1 oz teriyaki ~$22 in total. Buffalo is gamier and less tender. Habanero was a KICKER, i can only handle small pieces at a time. 2 oz sweet n spicy brisket ~$5.4. A must stop for our annual ski trips.

Great place to stop and grab lunch and some jerky. Or any of their other meats they sell as well. Sandwiches are loaded, great tasting, and a good price. All their jerky is great but the best is the brisket.
